As part of the Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016, After Belonging, the Oslo School of Architecture (AHO) - represented by In Transit Studio, the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and the Bergen School of Architecture (BAS) hosted a joint exhibition at the Stenersen Museum. The exhibition traveled to all three cities during the fall of 2016, and ended up in Istanbul for display at the Architecture in Emergency Symposium in November 2016. The exhibition presented student works addressing the refugee issue in various ways
The book 'In Transit - Architectural Solution in Emergencies' was first published in September 2016. The projects in this book are showcasing the potential for multi- and after use by transforming buildings accommodating people in flux, and proposing urban planning strategies for creating livable and sustainable environments for new arrivals and their host communities. The online version is a selection of the content from the printed version.
