Displacement, placemaking and wellbeing in the city (DWELL)

In Transit is part of the EU-India Platform for Social Sciences and Humanities research team. The project ‘Displacement, placemaking and wellbeing in the city (DWELL)’ is a three-year research projects that investigates how forcibly displaced people become part of cities, in ways that sustainably contribute to economic development, cultural advancement and wellbeing.

The project compares case studies in India, Finland, Norway and the UK, and is a collaboration between the Ambedkar University of the Government of Delhi, Institute of Development Studies, the Migration Institute of Finland, the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, the University of Brighton, and the University of Sussex.
