In Transit field research
The In Transit 4 Studio travelled to Thessaloniki in October 2018 to study the response carried out by the Urban Working Group – a collaboration between the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the UNHCR in providing refugee accommodation in the urban fabric, and to explore and propose sites and projects that could be of value to the city of Thessaloniki and its UN partner. The interaction and exchange of knowledge with local authorities, UNHCR officials, international NGO representatives, and grassroot-organizations, directly influenced the project proposals developed during the semester.
